Personally I like the lock as every game you can move and attack at the same always has an issue with the combat feeling off, but again this is a love it or hate it thing. They went with a hard lock system so you can not attack while moving, it makes sense and it does make the animations look better and feel weighty, but it has the downside of being much different than what people are used to where they can move and cast/use skills. It start out a bit slow but picks up as you level. The combat is a bit odd though and really terrible for the first 10 levels until you start unlocking more abilities and actually get to see the skill tree. Personally I like the aesthetic, but as the OP said it can feel kinda bad if you do not enjoy that style. The style is a bit different so people who are not used to that art style might be thrown for a bit of a loop as it is a very eastern art style which is to be expected from a K game. The graphics are actually really good and it runs fairly well, a lot better than I expected to be honest. I would not consider this a primary MMO though, as it lacks the depth for that, it's pretty casual friendly and a pretty good game for casual play. The game feels decent I think for a time waster or a secondary game. Anyone else have any impression? Positive or negative. It isn't bringing anything new to the table and it's certainly not reinventing things. So far the game looks like the usual dress up fan service KMMO you see whose only redeeming feature is its panty shots, if you're into that. Theres no cash shop yet but its AeriaGames, expect the same pump and dump BS they pull. I haven't dove deep enough into the chaos soul system but it looks OK. I won't label that a negative since understand this just how things are in the east but when I see an MMO that focuses on that its usually pretty terrible. The game was clearly made with a specific fan base in mind as evidenced by the skimpy outfits, especially on the archer. Classes are gender locked, which just seems rather dumb in 2015 AD. Go grab this thing over there 3 feet from the NPC. The transition from finishing attacks to moving feels awkward. Animations are fast but you cannot move at while while using skills, at least as an Archer. Graphically it looks like something from the mid 00's, although that's not the reason I'm disliking the game. So I've been playing Echo of Soul for the past few days and I can't say I'm impressed.
